The Artificial Intelligence Association of Ireland (AIAI) is the representative association for the Artificial Intelligence community in Ireland. AIAI promotes research, application, and understanding of Artificial Intelligence, encompassing the full breadth of AI topics. It has membership from academia and industry covering the whole island.
AIAI is a member society of The European Association for Artificial Intelligence (EurAI) and its members enjoy the benefits of membership of that parent society.
AIAI supports and promotes AI research within academic institutions, industry, and among independent researchers in Ireland and encourages collaboration between AI researchers and the private sector, facilitating the adoption of AI technologies in industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, automotive, agriculture, and more.
AIAI works with policymakers to ensure that AI development in Ireland aligns with ethical standards and contributes positively to society. This includes addressing issues related to AI ethics, data privacy, and the societal impact of AI.
AIAI hosts the Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Science (AICS), which has been running almost annually in locations across Ireland since 1988.
Membership of the AIAI is free and is open to all students, academics, and professionals interested in the field. AIAI maintains a mailing list covering news, jobs, and other announcements relevant to its membership.
